Pixelmator Pro gets a new batch of gorgeous mockups, featuring the latest Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices. There’s also more than twenty bug fixes individually listed in the release notes for the update, so check out the App Store to see everything that’s changed. Pixelmator Pro gets 12 new, pixel-perfect device mockups. The latest update also brings some quality-of-life improvements when using text layers and making selections, including the ability to quickly move a rectangular selection by holding the space bar. This is actually better than the old Pixelmator which could only remember the configuration for one custom crop ratio at a time, keeping up to the app’s ‘Pro’ nomenclature. And voila You’ll find the processed images on your desktop. Open up the Finder, select a couple of photos and choose Quick Actions > Apply Vibrant preset. Now, you can go test it out on a few images on your Mac. This preset will persist across application launches so I can use it again and again. You can drag and drop the custom preset to any position in the toolbar, and create as many custom presets as you like with unique names. First, choose File > Save and give the action a name. I now have a ‘9to5Mac’ named preset which crops to 2:1. Choose Window > Workspace Layout > Workspace Settings Choose Window > Customize Layout (from the Window menu at the top of the screen). Pixelmator Pro lets you apply a LUT file to. With the 1.0.6 update, users can set custom aspect ratios and save them as presets. Do one of the following: Choose Window > Workspace Layout and choose from the existing layouts. According to an announcement on the Pixelmator blog, version 2.0.8 includes comprehensive support for LUT files allowing you to import and apply custom LUT presets from other apps, convert a LUT into color adjustments, export your color adjustment as LUTs and more. This has actually prevented me from using the app for my 9to5Mac blogging work because our site uses 2:1 headers and Pixelmator Pro could not crop to that resolution. ![]() One of the big omissions I noted was the lack of custom aspect ratios for crops. Text styles let you apply a number of text formatting options at once to instantly personalize text.
